Police Records Request

The Town of Palm Beach's Custodian of Public Records is the Town Clerk; However, The Palm Beach Police Department Records Unit is also responsible for responding to public records requests under the provisions of the Florida Public Records Act (FSS 119.07). The Town of Palm Beach is highly committed to transparency and efficiency in fulfilling public records requests.

The easiest way to submit a PUBLIC RECORDS REQUEST is through the online portal.  Alternatively, the Palm Beach Police records custodian will provide individual reports as requested in person in the main lobby of the Police Department at 345 S. County Road, Palm Beach, FL 33480, or by calling 561-838-5480.  Please note that there are costs involved if paper copies are requested. Over-the-counter copies of reports are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

Offense Reports involving criminal activity with suspect information may be subject to redaction, depending on whether the case has been closed and/or until the status of any other judicial actions has been ascertained. Other reports and documents, by their sensitive natures, may not be public records and cannot be released per various Florida State Statutes.

Offense Reports involving a juvenile will not be released according to State Statute, without proper identification and/or required proof of involvement unless one of the following criteria is met: the child was taken into custody for an offense that would be a felony if committed by an adult, the child has been transferred into the adult (criminal justice) system, the child has been automatically direct filed into adult court, or the child transferred into the adult system but sentenced to the juvenile system.
