Marine Crime Prevention is offered as a service to the Palm Beach marine community.  This group includes recreational boat owners, captains and crews, and residents living in homes and the condominiums along the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.  Other interested persons include commercial fishermen, tourist operations, shipping and cargo operations, and anyone else who uses the waterways of the Town of Palm Beach.

The goals of Marine Crime Prevention are:

• To deter theft, vandalism and all criminal activity in the marine community
• To protect Palm Beach waterways from terrorist activities
• To educate the marine community and those who live and work adjacent to our waterways to carry out simple yet effective crime prevention measures
• To foster an atmosphere of community spirit and camaraderie amongst waterway users
• To develop a close liaison between the marine community and the Palm Beach Police Department
