Carolyn Stone was appointed as the Deputy Town Manager-Business Enterprise and Culture in November 2022. She provides leadership to the management teams of  the Town Marina, Human Resources, Recreation, Town Manager and Town Clerk's Departments. Prior to this position, she served as the Assistant Town Manager and Director of Business Development and Operations.

Previous to joining the Town's Senior Management Team, Mrs. Stone served as the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics at Palm Beach Atlantic University. During her tenure, she earned the University’s Employee of the Year Award (2017) and the Under Armour Athletic Director of the Year award by the National Association of College Directors of Athletics. She was a finalist for the Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce Athena Award. Mrs. Stone spearheaded three campaigns critical to the viability of the University’s athletic program: (1) full membership in the Sunshine State Conference, (2) the development of the 80-acre, $20-million-Rinker Athletic Campus, and (3) the construction of the 32,000-square foot, $8-million-dollar John and Sheila Rinker Sports Center. In addition to these milestones, Mrs. Stone doubled the size of the athletic program as it saw unprecedented success, winning NCAA regional and conference titles in a variety of sports.

A native of Palm Beach County, Mrs. Stone has over twenty years of administrative and leadership experience within municipal government and higher education. She has served on numerous boards and is a member of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches, for which she was President from 2004-2005.
