  • Yes, the Town of Palm Beach requires a Commercial Filming Permit for any video production or photography for commercial purposes on public property (e.g., streets, sidewalks, parks, beaches).

    - Apply 30-45 days in advance via the Town Clerk's Office; approved by Town Council.

    - Fees: $1,500 non-refundable application + $1,000 per filming day (max 7 days/month).


    Restrictions: Allowed only in commercial zones (not residential/government buildings); hours 10 AM-4 PM or 6 PM-8 AM; prohibited Nov 15-Apr 15 (high season).

    Requires site plan, insurance ($1M+ liability), hold harmless agreement, and property owner permission if private land impacted.

  • No additional permits are required from the Town other than what the FAA requires. Drones and model aircraft operated within the town shall be operated and registered in accordance with all rules and regulations of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the State of Florida relating to said operation and registration according to Sec. 14-35.
