  • Based on the estimated construction timeline, Phipps Ocean Park will be closed to the public from May 1 through October 1, 2026. The racquet center and associated parking area have reopened for patrons of pickleball and tennis only. The south end of the park and/or beach access will not be open to the public until project completion.  Courts may be booked online through the Recreation Department's Play by Point portal , or for more information, visit the Recreation Department's booking page.

  • The park is undergoing a $30M renovation, which is primarily being funded by the Preservation Foundation of Palm Beach.

  • The Tennis Center upgrades have a shorter project schedule than the broader park renovations. Once those improvements are complete and safety can be ensured, the Tennis Center can operate separately from other ongoing work.

  • Portions of the parking areas may be used for construction staging. Expect temporary closures in the immediate vicinity. Additional updates on traffic flow or potential detours will be provided if needed.

  • Construction will likely cause some noise and activity. However, the Town and contractors will adhere to local noise ordinances and work to minimize disruptions.
