[ARCHIVED] Share the Road

Patch Transparent

The Palm Beach Police Department is proud to announce its partnership with the Florida Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) Share the Road Campaign.

The Palm Beach Police Department, FLHSMV, and Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) are partnering with the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Police Chiefs Association, Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida Trucking Association, and AAA - The Auto Club Group to educate motorists about the importance of using extra caution around motorcycles and bicycles on the road. We would like to remind all motorists of the deadly consequences of not safely sharing the road with all road users.

During the month of May, we are committed to promoting pedestrian and bicycle safety throughout the Town of Palm Beach. Each day, drivers have the opportunity to play a critical role in providing pedestrian and bicycle safety. The Palm Beach Police Department is committed to helping everyone understand how they can stay safe and ensure the safety of others.

During this initiative, officers will be educating the public by increasing awareness and compliance of traffic laws that protect the safety of pedestrians and bicyclists.

You can learn more about this partnership at https://www.flhsmv.gov/safety-center/driving-safety/share-the-road/ or stop by the Palm Beach Police Department to receive more information on this valuable program.
