The Town of Palm Beach announces a board member opening on the Investment Advisory Committee effective immediately.
The Investment Advisory Committee acts in an advisory capacity and shall make recommendations to the Town Council on matters relating to the Town’s investment policy and the investment of the Town’s surplus funds. The Committee is comprised of five members, who shall be residents of the town. Members are appointed based upon their prior fixed income investment experience. The Town of Palm Beach will not do business directly or indirectly with a committee member and for at least two (2) years after the member’s term has expired.
The Town is seeking applicants who have investment experience and will be available for meetings that are to be held at a minimum of four (4) times per year. Members of the Committee serve for terms of two (2) years. Applicants must also be a resident of the Town of Palm Beach.
All citizens interested in pursuing this important civic service must complete the appropriate application for service and submit it to the Town Clerk’s Office in hardcopy or via electronic transmission to townclerk@townofpalmbeach.com by Friday, November 2, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. The appointment to the Investment Advisory Committee will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, November 13, 2018.
