In the summer of 2017, improvements were made to the Lake Trail pedestrian pathway from the Society of The Four Arts north to its terminus just north of Reef Road. The work on the main path has been completed and the Town’s contractor is returning this month to work on a number of access paths to the Lake Trail that need improvements. This work will not require any additional funding and began the week of May 7, 2018. The contractor will begin work from the north and progress towards the south. The project will be divided into two phases as shown below.
Phase I – May 7, 2018 through May 31, 2018
Lake Trail access paths at: Merrain Road, Kenlyn Road, Palmo Way, La Puerta Way, El Pueblo Way, Monterey Road, Nightingale Trail, Ocean Terrace, and Queens Lane.
Phase II – June 1, 2018 through June 30, 2018
Lake Trail access paths at: Orange Grove Road, path between Garden Road and Eden Road, Hi Mount Road, Crest Road, Sanford Avenue, Pendleton Lane, N. Woods Road, and S. Woods Road.
Please note that the access paths that are not completed, or contains project equipment and material will be blocked off for the safety of the public. Weekly, the Town will publish which accesses will be impacted, in the weekly traffic reports.
There will be occasional short term lane closures on North Lake Way to pick up and drop off equipment and material to the work areas. Flaggers will be in the area to direct traffic. This work is being performed by R and D Paving, Inc.
