Car carriers are allowed to load and off-load vehicles in 3 areas of Town.
1. 300 Block. N. County – west side of N. County between south of the fire house and north of Atlantic Ave. in areas designated for on-street parking
2. 300 Block. S. Lake Dr. – between Brazilian Avenue and Australian Avenue, allowing both sides of traffic to flow (not in a lane of traffic)
3. Phipps Ocean Park – in parking lot in south parking lot
If carriers are found blocking lanes of traffic, they can receive a Code Enforcement Notice of Violation for violating the Right of Way, Ordinance No. 106-1. This is a Class II violation or a Traffic citation for violating Florida Statutes 316.1945 – Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in specified places.
Commercial Loading and Unloading/Deliveries are only allowed during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., per Ordinance No. 42-197. Violations of this ordinance are a class II violation and are subject to the same fine schedule as above.
Residents are strongly encouraged to notify/educate their auto transport carrier companies prior to arriving in the Town of Palm Beach.
