SR 704/Royal Park Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway will have all westbound lanes closed to traffic overnight, 10 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 20 though Thursday, Aug. 24, for bridge painting activities. Traffic will be detoured to the SR A1A/Flagler Memorial Bridge via SR A1A/S County Road. The week of Sunday, Aug. 27 though Aug. 31 will be used as a contingency if needed.

The Royal Park Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway Bridge Painting Project consists of removing and replacing the steel coating on the Royal Park Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway, and cleaning and painting the concrete portions of the Royal Park Bridge, including piers, traffic barriers, bridge tender house and arches.
