On July 28, 2023, the Town of Palm Beach’s website will have a new look while maintaining the content users' need. Based on the understanding that much of today’s business and information is executed and absorbed on mobile devices including phones, tablets, and laptops, the website redesign focused on providing our community with streamlined access to information and better coordinate with search engines like Google. The site content to continue to be modified in preparation of Season, but the new look is the first in the process.
Website visitors will be greeted with new colors and layout. During Hurricane Season, the redesigned website launch will have a hyperlinked banner photo. The redesigned layout includes direct access portals to permit information, public meetings agendas and live streaming audio, online payment portals, sanitation service schedules, emergency services, and career information that appear on all webpages. The calendar display has been bifurcated to allow viewers to toggle between the Town meeting and community events.
The new home page will also include a ‘Directory’ button for expedited contact information for staff; a ‘Stay Connected’ button to sign up for Town Alerts, News, and RSS feeds; a ‘Public Notices’ button that duplicates the advertisements of projects and proposed ordinances for upcoming Town meetings; a ‘Public Records’ button to request a Public Records Request; and a ‘Report an Issue’ button to report and route an issue to the proper department. During the transition, the website host will attempt to minimize the downtime of the website. It is recommended users use the search bar in the upper right corner as continued work occurs on the website.
