[ARCHIVED] Palm Beach Recreation Fall Session

Rec Update Fall 2023-Cover

The Palm Beach Recreation Department Fall Session will begin on Sunday, September 10, 2023. Town residents may now register and nonresident registration begins August 21, 2023.

Preschoolers can get creative through art and music with Little Hands Art, Movin’ & Groovin’, and Mommy & Me Palm Beach, and explore their natural physical movement with Tot Tumbling. Learn the fundamentals of sports through Story Time Soccer or Little Hoopsters Basketball, both fun and interactive programs.

Youth participants focus on fitness and building character with Systema Martial Arts, develop their writing and speech with Communications Arts Prep, explore movement with floor, balance beam, and trampoline work in Gymnastics, and find their inner Picasso in Mix it Up Art.

Select Soccer Academy and Perseverance Basketball bring their vast experience and unique instructional style to youth sports where participants can learn the game in a fun, non-threatening environment with Fall Soccer, the Basketball Skills Academy, and the popular Youth Basketball League.  Under the experienced leadership of Cullen and Molly Miller, youth athletes can learn the fundamentals of Lacrosse and Flag Football while developing their self-esteem, discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Casa Rituals, with their extensive background in alternative healing, will now offer Sound Bath sessions at the Mandel Recreation Center on select Thursdays throughout the year.  The use of gongs, crystal bowls, and Koshi chimes will help you achieve deeper states of relaxation, which can lead to better sleep, reduced stress levels, and improved moods.

Returning adult enrichment programs include Italian and French for the beginner through advanced, as well as Mah Jongg for Beginners and Mah Jongg Social, which provides an opportunity for new and experienced enthusiasts to play this popular tile game.  There are also an array of adult fitness classes taught by HealthFitness staff. Classes include Zumba GOLD Toning, Yoga, Aerobics & Core, and Pickleball Preparedness.  Adult enrichment programs will begin October 1, while adult fitness programs are ongoing.

Program details are available on our website at www.palmbeachrecreation.com. Registration may be done on the website, by phone (561) 838-5485, or in person at the Mandel Recreation Center, 340 Seaview Avenue.
