[ARCHIVED] West Palm Beach to Flush Water Lines with Chlorine Starting Tuesday June 27, 2023

SealColorsmall

The City of West Palm Beach Department of Public Utilities will be temporarily modifying the disinfecting process used to treat the drinking water by flushing water lines with chlorine. The preventative maintenance will occur from Tuesday, June 27, 2023 to Monday July 17, 2023.

Customers may notice a slight chlorine taste or odor in their tap water during this period. These conditions are temporary and will not cause adverse health effects. The method for removing chlorine residuals differs from removing chloramine residuals from tap water. If you have concerns regarding home dialysis machines, tropical fish or stores/restaurants with fish and shellfish holding tanks, please seek professional advice.

For more information, please contact the City of West Palm Beach Department of Public Utilities at (561) 822-2210 or toll free at (800) 955-8771.
