Beginning Monday, May 8th, The Florida Department of Transportation will commence the Royal Park Bridge Painting Project with the following traffic impacts:
Occasional lane closures will occur throughout the project. Eastbound lane closures may occur between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. Sunday through Saturday. Westbound lane closures may occur any time. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction. The outside eastbound lane on the Royal Park Bridge between Flagler Drive and South Lake Drive will be closed continuously for staging of equipment through Tuesday, Oct.31.
Overnight bridge closures may occur from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. but will be noticed well in advance.
The Okeechobee Boulevard/Royal Park Bridge south sidewalk, from Flagler Drive to South Lake Drive, is closed for construction. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times via the north sidewalk accessible at Flagler Drive and Cocoanut Row.
