The Palm Beach Police Department in partnership with Palm Beach Crime Watch would like to invite interested teens to take part in the 2023 Teen Police Academy.  The Teen Police Academy program is a one-week program and is offered to teens from 13-16 years of age.  Participation is required for all five days, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Applicants should live in or attend school in the Town of Palm Beach.

The program is modeled after the Citizen Police Academy and is designed to give young people an overview of the training undertaken by police officers as well as other aspects of the criminal justice system.  The program includes exciting hands-on training, field trips, including a tour of the Palm Beach County Jail, and a graduation ceremony.  All lunches, snacks and drinks are provided.

The Teen Police Academy program fee is $150.00 for the first child and $50 for each additional sibling, which includes uniform tops and daily lunch. Space is limited. Please make checks payable to Palm Beach Crime Watch.  Students must be available to attend for the full week and permission must be given for participation in all scheduled activities.  Applications must be received by May 1, 2023 to participate.

For more information and to request an application, please call Palm Beach Crime Watch at 561-820-8118 or visit palmbeachcrimewatch.com.
