Monday, February 27, 2023, at 4:00 p.m., Designing Our Palm Beach Week will officially kickoff! The event is being held at the Mandel Recreation Center and valet service will be provided throughout the 4-day event.
Zoning controls the built environment around us, including how to measure the height of a building, how far away from your property line your pool or mechanical equipment can be, and how much green space you are required to have on your property. It is time for us to come together to discuss code changes that will ensure that the Palm Beach vision is protected and your interest in preserving your property investment is safeguarded.
The Town Council engaged expert consultants to help review, simplify and recommend adaptions to our Code. Our consultants will lead the “charrette”, which is a fancy term for a collaborative design and review working sessions in which the community provides the input to identify issues that will be incorporated into recommendations. Designing Our Palm Beach Week will include one-on-one and group conversations, illustration pin-ups, seminars, and presentations, all specifically geared for the Town’s residents to have real-time input into the zoning code process.
Everyone is encouraged to attend as many days of the charrette as possible. Each day will build upon the previous day. We hope to have as much of the community input that is possible. Below you will find the schedule of events planned during the charrette.
Should you not be available to attend in person, please feel free to provide your thoughts and comments to our consultant team via our project website at pbzoning.org or by reaching out to Jennifer Hofmeister-Drew at firstname.lastname@example.org.
