[ARCHIVED] Town Council to Appoint Members to the Landmarks Preservation Commission

The Town of Palm Beach is seeking to appoint six (6) members to the Landmarks Preservation Commission (LPC).  All terms will expire on March 1, 2023, and several members are eligible for reappointment.  The upcoming openings will include three (3) regular members’ seats, two (2) alternate members’ seats, and one (1) non-resident architect seat, whose one-year term will expire on March 1, 2024.

This commission reviews and approves structural and landscape modifications to designated structures and properties. Members are appointed by Town Council based on having, to the highest extent practicable, a special knowledge of and a known interest in landmarks preservation.  Members of the Landmarks Preservation Commission shall be appointed for a three-year term and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.

 All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the Landmarks Preservation Commission must complete the appropriate application for service and submit the same to the Town Clerk’s Office by Friday, March 3, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.  The appointments to the Landmarks Preservation Commission will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 14, 2023.
