[ARCHIVED] Evacuation Order Now in Effect for the Town of Palm Beach

Patch clear Background

Palm Beach County’s evacuation order is now in effect for all Zone A (mobile homes) and Zone B (barrier islands) as of 7:00 am this morning.

Nicole’s broad cloud and wind field are starting to move onshore this morning with deteriorating conditions continuing throughout the day. Tropical storm conditions are already starting to impact the coast and the winds are expected to intensify to hurricane speeds as the day progresses. Elevated tides, ocean swells, and deteriorating beach conditions can be expected across the coast because of high tides, with expected wave heights of 12-22’. Now is the time to conclude all storm preparations and stay off the road until the storm passes.

Up to date, Tropical Nicole resources are available now through the FSWN Town of Palm Beach Weather STEM unit. You can get the latest information on Nicole by visiting on your computer or mobile phone.
