The Town of Palm Beach is urging residents to closely monitor Tropical Depression #9 as the entire Florida Peninsula is included in the 5-day forecast cone.

Tropical Depression #9 may not pose a threat to Florida until the middle of next week, but officials are advising residents to monitor the situation closely.

The exact magnitude and location of Tropical Depression #9’s impact cannot be determined at this time so residents should ensure that they have their hurricane plan in place and closely monitor forecast updates through the weekend.

The Atlantic Hurricane Season runs from June 1 through November 30, with the peak occurring around the middle of September.  Now is the time to ensure that hurricane supplies are prepared, and your emergency plans are in order. Peak hurricane season is right around the corner and early preparation will ensure that you are “Storm Ready”.
