The Town of Palm Beach is seeking to appoint two (2) regular members to the Planning and Zoning Commission effective October 1, 2022. Currently, there are two (2) regular members whose terms will expire on September 30, 2022, and both are eligible to re-apply for one more term.
The Planning & Zoning Commission acts in an advisory capacity to the Town Council in all matters relating to municipal planning and development. The Commission is required to follow the concepts and contents of the Town’s comprehensive land use plan in all planning, zoning and development related deliberations and decisions. The Commission shall also have such powers and duties as may be prescribed by Ordinance. Members of the Commission must be registered voters in the Town of Palm Beach and serve for terms of three (3) years. Three alternate members of the Planning & Zoning Commission may be appointed by the Town Council who serve when called upon by the Chair of the Commission in the absence of any regular member.
All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the Planning and Zoning Commission must complete the appropriate application for service online by Friday, September 30, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. The appointments to the PZC will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
