[ARCHIVED] The Town of Palm Beach Launches Community Survey

Town Seal color large paint

The Town of Palm Beach encourages everyone who lives and works in the Town to share their opinions and experiences in the Community Survey. The goal of the Survey is to probe issues related to quality of life, environmental resilience, and economics, ultimately contributing this vital information towards the development of the Town’s updated Strategic Plan.

The Town has a long history of strategic planning.  Starting in 1929 with The Plan of Palm Beach, the Town has always been interested in ensuring its offerings were in line with expectations of the community and the needs of the future.  The Town published a formal Strategic Plan in 2003, updated it in 2012 and now plans to release the Strategic Plan’s latest update in 2023.

An important piece of the Strategic Plan is to gather data through a community survey process. Town Staff has engaged with Community Data Platforms (CDP), a national data analytics leader behind the famous Nantucket Data Platform, to develop a survey tool that solicits feedback on topics that were identified as part of the Strategic Planning Board’s SWOT and Critical Success Factors analysis. Town Staff and CDP’s skilled survey methodologists tailored questions that would provide the Town with actionable information needed to support the development of the Town’s updated Strategic Plan.

The survey results will be benchmarked with other communities, and the aggregate results will be presented through a simple, intuitive dashboard so Town leaders can develop and execute an evidence-based strategy.

Anyone 18 years of age or older who lives or works in the Town of Palm Beach is encouraged to take the survey. It is available in English and Spanish. The survey will close on August 19, 2022. To take the survey, please click here.
