[ARCHIVED] AUSTRALIAN AVENUE WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT - Update #2 - Cocoanut Row to Hibiscus Avenue

Town Seal color large paint

As part of the Town’s Australian Watermain Project, that started Wednesday, April 25, 2022, the Town’s contractor, Burkhardt Construction, is installing a new watermain along Australian Avenue from South Lake Drive to South Ocean Boulevard. Work on the watermain within the 400 block of Australian Avenue has been completed.

The contractor will be starting Phase 3 of this project and will commence on Monday, July 18, 2022.  Phase 3 is the construction of the watermain on the 300 block of Australian Avenue from Cocoanut Row east to Hibiscus Avenue. Parking on the 300 block of Australian Avenue will be prohibited on both sides of the street. The sidewalk on the south side of Australian Avenue within the 300 block, will also be closed to pedestrians during this Phase of the project.

Please follow the construction signage and flaggers, and drive with caution when travelling through this area.

During the watermain construction, Public Works asks all landscapers not to pile up vegetation in the road right-of-way. All vegetation should be hauled away by landscapers.
