The Town of Palm Beach is seeking applicants to fill one (1) regular member position on the Shore Protection Board.
The Shore Protection Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Town Council and makes recommendations to the Town Council on all matters relating to shore protection in the Town of Palm Beach. It consists of seven (7) members appointed by the Town Council. The term of office is three (3) years. Appointees are required to be registered electors and residents of the Town, however, to qualify, you must be a resident of the Town of Palm Beach or a non-town resident who possesses specific knowledge or skills directly related to shore protection, coastal management, and beach nourishment. Appointees shall not be a member of another Town board or commission.
All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the Shore Protection Board must complete the appropriate application for service and submit the same to the Town Clerk by Friday, July 1, 2022, by 5:00 p.m. The appointments to the Shore Protection Board will be scheduled on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
