The Town Charter of the Town of Palm Beach provides that a General Election shall be held on the second Tuesday of March each year for the purpose of electing two council members and a Mayor in year one and electing three council members the following year. All offices are for a two-year term and all council members serve at-large.
THE 2022 TOWN ELECTION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MARCH 8, 20222.
(IF NECESSARY, A RUNOFF ELECTION WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MARCH 22, 2022)
All qualifications and elections for the offices of Town Council shall be conducted on a nonpartisan basis without regard to the designation of political party affiliation.
The following offices will be up for election on March 8, 2022:
Council Seat Incumbent - Lewis S.W. Crampton
Council Seat Incumbent - Bobbie Lindsay
Council Seat Incumbent – Maggie L. Zeidman
The candidates for the office of Town Council shall qualify for such offices by:
- Being nominated by an elector of the Town, and seconded by at least two(2) electors, at the Town Caucus; and
- Being endorsed by a petition signed by at least twenty-five electors, filed with the Town Clerk not more than 10 days subsequent to the caucus.
