[ARCHIVED] Hammon Avenue and South Ocean Boulevard Water Main Replacement Milling and Resurfacing

Beginning Tuesday, November 2, 2021, the Town, through its construction manager, Burkhardt Construction, Inc. and their subcontractors Johnson Davis and  J.W. Cheatham LLC, will be milling and resurfacing Hammon Avenue and portions of South Ocean Boulevard between Gulfstream Road and Royal Palm Way. 

 Above is the color-coded phases of the milling and resurfacing.

    PHASE 1 (Blue) – November 2nd - 3rd - Milling and resurfacing of Hammon Avenue from South County Road to South Ocean Boulevard. Hammon Avenue will be closed to through Traffic. No on street parking will be permitted on Hammon Avenue.  The flaggers will be available to assist with patrons of The Colony and residential access. Traffic will be detoured around Hammon Avenue. 

    PHASE 2 (Green) – November 4th - 5th - Milling and resurfacing of South Ocean Boulevard from Gulfstream Road to Worth Avenue.  Northbound traffic on South Ocean Boulevard will be detoured at Via Marina west to South County Road. South Bound Traffic on South Ocean Boulevard will be detoured at Worth Avenue west to South County Road. No on street parking will be permitted. All eastbound traffic on Gulfstream Road and on Hammon Avenue will be redirected back to South County Road.

    PHASE 3 (Red) – November 8th - 9th - Milling and resurfacing of South Ocean Boulevard from Worth Avenue to Australian Avenue. The one-way streets of Peruvian Avenue, Chilean Avenue, and Australian Avenue will be maintained with flaggers to assist residents through the milling and paving operations. Northbound traffic on South Ocean Boulevard will be detoured at Worth Avenue west to South County Road. Southbound traffic on South Ocean Boulevard will be detoured at Brazilian Avenue west to South County Road. No parking will be permitted on South Ocean Boulevard from Worth Avenue to Australian Avenue.

    PHASE 4 (Yellow) – November 10th & 12th - Milling and resurfacing of South Ocean Boulevard from Brazilian Avenue to Royal Palm Way Northbound traffic on South Ocean Boulevard will be detoured at Brazilian Avenue west to South County Road. Southbound traffic on South Ocean Boulevard will be detoured at Seaspray Avenue west to South County Road. No parking will be permitted on South Ocean Boulevard from Brazilian Avenue to Royal Palm Way.
