Starting Wednesday, September 30, Florida Public Utilities (FPU) and their contractor, Southeast Connections (SEC), will be installing gas services. The work is anticipated to last one (1) week pending weather conditions. FPU will be excavating at four (4) different locations on South County Road between Hammon Avenue and Via Marina. These locations will be repaired with temporary pavement.
During construction, two-way traffic on South County Road will be maintained by MOT devices, signage, and flagman. The sidewalk on the east side of South County Road will remain open to pedestrians when work is in the southbound lane. The sidewalk will be closed when work moves to the northbound lane. At the end of each day, traffic will be returned to normal.
