The Town of Palm Beach announces one opening on the Investment Advisory Committee effective, July 20, 2020.
The Investment Advisory Committee acts in an advisory capacity and shall make recommendations to the Town Council on matters relating to the Town’s investment policy and the investment of the Town’s surplus funds. The Investment Advisory Committee also oversees the investment of the Health Insurance Trust funds. All recommendations must be made within the constraints of Florida Statute 218.415.
The Town is seeking one applicant who has investment experience and will be available for meetings that are to be held at a minimum of four (4) times per year. Members of the Committee serve for terms of two (2) years. Applicants must also be a resident of the Town of Palm Beach.
All citizens interested in pursuing this important civic service must complete an application and submit it to the Town Clerk by Friday, August 28, at 5:00 p.m. The appointment will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Thursday, September 10, 2020.
