At the May 13th Town Council Meeting, the Town Council approved the temporary use of private and public outdoor spaces for expanded restaurant seating and retail displays. This action was taken to assist restaurants and retail establishments by offsetting some of the loss in occupancy capacity due to the Governor’s Executive Order 20-112, which limits indoor volume to 25% and requires 6 feet of spacing for outdoor seating.
The application must be accompanied by a site plan with dimensions and a description of the property the applicant would like to use. Additionally, compliance with CDC, FDA and OSHA guidelines will be required. There will be no fee to apply and the approval process will be within a 24 hour timeline, assuming there are no issues with the application.
