The Town of Palm Beach will electronically host our annual Hurricane Preparedness Seminar on Tuesday, May 19, at 2:00 p.m. Due to projections of an above average hurricane season, we are strongly encouraging residents, condo association managers, business owners, and contractors conducting business on the island to join the seminar. To register for the seminar, please click here or visit the Town’s website at www.townofpalmbeach.com.

Town Emergency Management Officials will be sharing lessons learned from previous seasons and unveil plans for the upcoming season. Some of the material covered will include:

Palm Beach Police - voluntary ID cards, evacuation procedures; town-wide security measures before, during and after a storm; welfare checks, and new post-storm re-entry procedures.

Palm Beach Fire Rescue - emergency response protocols, electrical hazards, gas leaks, and generator safety practices.

Public comments and questions regarding hurricane preparedness can be emailed to storm@townofpalmbeach.com no later than Sunday, May 17, 2020. These will be addressed during the meeting.

For more information on the 2020 Hurricane Seminar, please contact Division Chief Sean Baker at (561) 227-6433.

If you need assistance registering for the seminar, please contact the Town Manager’s Office at (561) 838-5410.
