Due to drought conditions, the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) recently issued a water conservation order with strict guidelines regarding landscape irrigation schedules.
The order limits the watering of lawns and landscape areas to two days per week between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. and applying no more than an inch of water per week to lawns and landscapes to supplement rainfall when needed. Please review the SFWMD’s Water Conservation Order on Landscape Irrigation for more information. Residents can also conserve water by following SFWMD’s simple water conservation tips.
Following irrigation guidelines will help conserve water and protect South Florida’s water resources amid the region’s recent dry conditions.
