[ARCHIVED] Town Council To Appoint Member(s) to the Architectural Commission (ARCOM)

The Town of Palm Beach will now be seeking to appoint three (3) members to the Architectural Commission (ARCOM) due to a recent resignation on the board. There are now three (3) regular members’ seats available. Two of whose terms will expire on March 1, 2020 and both members are eligible to apply for one more term. The third seat is to be held by an architect that is registered in the State of Florida and this term will expire on March 1, 2021.
ARCOM reviews and approves modifications to any existing structures visible from public rights-of-way, new construction, and landscaping. Members are appointed on the basis of experience in art, architecture, community planning, land development, real estate, landscape architecture, or other relevant business, profession, or civic interest. Members of the architectural commission shall be appointed for terms of three years from and may serve no more than two consecutive terms.

All citizens interested in pursuing appointment to the ARCOM must complete the appropriate application for service and submit the same to the Town Clerk’s Office in hard copy or via electronic transmission to townclerk@townofpalmbeach.com by Friday, February 28, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. The appointments to the ARCOM will be on the agenda for consideration and potential action at the Town Council meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2020.
