The Palm Beach Police Department would like to alert residents of recent auto burglaries and thefts that have occurred in the Town of Palm Beach. During the holiday season we want to remind residents, guests and employees to lock their vehicle doors and turn on their alarm system. This includes when the car is parked in your own driveway or in front of your house. Never leave your keys inside the vehicle. Do not leave cash, loose change, handbags, briefcases, phones, or other valuables in your vehicle as these present opportunities for criminal activity.
Auto theft and burglary is typically a crime of opportunity. While a determined thief will often find a way to get what he/she is after, most of these crimes can be prevented! You can make a difference in preventing auto theft and burglaries. If you see something – say something.
