[ARCHIVED] Car Carriers- Off-Loading

The Town of Palm Beach Police want to inform residents and businesses that Car Carrier Transportation Companies are allowed to load and off-load vehicles in 3 areas of the Town of Palm Beach.

•    300 Blk. N. County Rd. – west side of N. County Rd., between south of the firehouse and north of Atlantic Ave. in areas designated for on-street parking.

•    300 Blk. S. Lake Dr. – between Brazilian Ave., and Australian Ave., allowing both sides of traffic to flow (not in a lane of traffic).

•    Phipps Ocean Park – in the parking lot.

If carriers are found blocking lanes of traffic, they can receive a Code Enforcement Notice of Violation for violation of the Right of Way, Ord. 106-1 – Class II violation or a Traffic citation for violation of Florida Statutes 316.1945 – Stopping, standing, or parking prohibited in specified places.

Commercial Loading and Unloading/Deliveries are only allowed during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. (Ordinance 42-197) – violations of this ordinance are a Class II violations, subject to, Code Enforcement violations of Class II fine schedule: 

First Offense = $125.00

Second Offense = $250.00

Third Offense = $400.00

Fourth and Subsequent Offense = $500.00
