The Town of Palm Beach is urging residents to closely monitor  Tropical Storm Dorian as the entire Florida Peninsula is included in the 5-day forecast cone.

Tropical Storm Dorian does not pose a threat to Florida until Saturday, but officials are advising residents to monitor the situation closely and be ready to put their storm plans in action.

Regardless of development, increased rain chances are expected across the Florida Peninsula, along with some minor coastal flooding due to the astronomical high tides this weekend.

The Atlantic Hurricane Season runs from June 1 through November 30, with the peak occurring around the middle of September.  Now is the time to ensure that hurricane supplies are prepared and your emergency plans are in order. Peak hurricane season is right around the corner and early preparation will ensure that you are “Storm Ready”.
