The issuance of commercial motion picture filming permits is strictly regulated by Section 22, Article IV of the Town Code. For the purposes of this section, commercial motion picture making is defined as video production of any nature.
There are varying fees and regulations for commercial motion picture making permits. Please note the following general restrictions:
- All applications shall be filed with the Town Clerk at least 30 days and not more than 45 days prior to the date or dates upon which the applicant wishes to conduct the activity.
- Filming permits require Town Council approval. All applications must be filed with the Town Clerk no less than 20 days prior to the Town Council meeting at which the application is to be considered.
- Filming is prohibited during season (November 15 - April 15).
- Filming is restricted to the commercially zoned districts within the Town.
