Captain Michael Keehan

Captain Michael Keehan joined the Palm Beach Police Department on October 23, 1995. He served in the Patrol Unit, Burglary Strike Force and the Marine Unit before his promotion to the rank of Sergeant in 2011. As a Sergeant he served in Patrol until his promotion to Lieutenant in 2013 and worked in the Professional Standards Unit. He was promoted to the rank of Captain in January of 2015. 

Captain Keehan has received 99 Department/Citizen commendations and has been designated the Department’s Officer of the Month one time.  He has received the Life Saving Award and was recipient of the Palm Beach Palm Beach Rotary Club Policeman of the Year Award.  Captain Keehan was also awarded the Palm Beach County Law Enforcement Foundation Heroism Award.

Captain Keehan served honorably in the Unites States Marine Corp and United States Coast Guard. Captain Keehan holds a B.S. Degree in Public Administration from Barry University. He is also Graduate of University of Louisville, Southern Police Institute, Administrator’s Officer Development course.
