State Legislative Alerts Available on Town Website

The Town of Palm Beach is closely tracking several bills being considered by the Florida State Legislature that would negatively impact “home rule”, which is the ability for cities and towns to govern at the local level.

The Town has added a new section to its website (left-hand column on homepage) that provides a list of the proposed bills with a brief summary of the potential negative impacts, as well as links to the State Legislature’s webpages with additional information on each bill.  The contact information for the Palm Beach Legislative Delegation and other legislature leaders is included.

Mayor Gail Coniglio has already been in contact with State Legislators to express her concerns on behalf of the Town and is planning a trip to Tallahassee soon to further convey why these bills would be detrimental to Palm Beach. The Town encourages residents to also contact their representatives to voice concerns with the bills in question.

For more information about the bills, please visit the Town website: State Legislative Alerts.
